Aryl semicarbazides as aryl sources for mechanochemical oxidative Heck coupling by C–N bond activation

Abstract

Herein, by using aryl semicarbazides as aryl sources, the oxidative Mizoroki–Heck reaction of semicarbazides with alkenes has been achieved under solvent-free ball-milling conditions without external heating. This approach offers a facile and sustainable route to cinnamates and stilbenes, featuring broad substrate scope and applications in the synthesis of targeted functional molecules.
