Metal–organic framework-supported boron Lewis acid for heterogeneous hydroboration of α,β-unsaturated aldehydes

Abstract

Boron Lewis acids (LAs) are efficient metal-free catalysts for hydroboration but face recovery and deactivation challenges in homogeneous systems. Herein, a porous boron LA catalyst, NU-1000-LA, featuring enhanced Lewis acidity and high surface area, has been constructed via a stepwise anchoring strategy. Benefiting from the MOF enrichment effect, NU-1000-LA exhibits enhanced catalytic performance in hydroboration compared to homogeneous systems.
