Ultrafine Pt nanocrystals anchored on amorphous MoO3 for hydrogen evolution

Abstract

We report a novel heterostructure of ultrafine Pt nanocrystals on amorphous MoO3, showing 4 times higher mass activity than commercial Pt/C for hydrogen evolution and superior stability with a negligible decay in overpotential after 10 000 cycles.
