Nickel-catalyzed [4+2] cycloadditions of β-ketoesters and alkynes

Abstract

The nickel-catalyzed synthesis of pyranone derivatives from β-ketoesters and alkynes has been reported. This reaction showcases remarkable versatility as it can incorporate a wide range of β-ketoesters and demonstrates the capacity to tolerate numerous functional groups and complex molecular structures.
