A hair-thin fiber aqueous rechargeable Zn-ion battery with high energy density
Abstract
This work presents a hair-thin fiber-shaped aqueous rechargeable Zn-ion battery, with a recorded-thin diameter of <0.1 mm but a high energy density of >101 mWh·cm-3, by designing an axial alternating structure to enable a different charge-transport mechanism of axial-direction, instead of traditional perpendicular-direction. The hair-thin battery can not only be woven into silk-like thin fabric, but also fitted into the guidewire as a micro implantable power supply for vascular recanalization surgery, exhibiting potentials for powering wearables and implantable electronics.
