Precise heteroatom engineering for iodine capture promotion in porous organic cages
Abstract
Three isostructural POCs (O/S/SePOC) have been prepared. Under precise heteroatom engineering, SePOC exhibits the best iodine adsorption ability compared to OPOC and SPOC with a value of 4.43 g g−1, which also exceeds most other molecular materials. SePOC was also fabricated as a thin film sensor for the first time to detect iodine vapor with a fast detection rate and high reusability.
