EDA Complex-driven multicomponent reaction of Br–Rf with alkenes via radical-polar crossover

Abstract

We herein describe a general visible-light-induced EDA-enabled multicomponent reaction between alkenes, nitrogen heterocycles and Br–Rf, offering a mild, operationally simple, and broadly applicable alternative to traditional post modification of nitrogen heterocycles. This reaction involved a cascade HXT/radical addition/radical polar crossover/radical addition to nitrogen heterocycles/HAT process.
