Dimeric Boron Complexes Bearing Isoquinolyl-pyrrole Ligands

Abstract

In the present study, a novel series of dimeric boron complexes bearing 2-(isoquinol-1-yl)pyrrole ligands was synthesized and their optical properties were investigated. The linkage positions of several isoquinoline and pyrrole rings facilitated the control of their molecular orbital energy levels and structural rigidities, thereby determining their characteristic optical properties. Computational studies described the detailed relationship between structures and optical properties.
