Decorating Co3+-rich Na0.96CoPO4 with silver nanoparticles as a high-efficiency catalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction

Abstract

The composite catalyst Ag@Na0.96CoPO4, consisting of a Na-ion-deficient Na0.96CoPO4 matrix and Ag nanoparticle modifiers, displays excellent activity in catalysing the OER, which can be ascribed to the tailored electronic structure of Co and the improved intrinsic activity, together with the strengthened interaction between Na0.96CoPO4 and Ag nanoparticles.
