Influence of oxygen content and structure on graphene derivative-based hydroelectric nanogenerators

Abstract

Hydroelectric nanogenerators (HENGs) produce clean energy from water as a sustainable source, gaining attention. The performance of HENGs is influenced by the morphology, chemical composition, and structural changes in carbon nanomaterials, which limits electrode design. We explored various graphene nanomaterial structures and oxygen contents, finding that graphene oxide with optimal oxygen content yields the best performance with water and artificial sweat sources.
