Heterocyclic Molecule’s Coordination Chemistry Induced Water-Lean interface for Achieving Stable Zinc Anode

Abstract

A water-lean interface engineering was adopted on Zinc anode via introducing a trace of 2-acetamidothiazole (AZ) into a 0.5 M Zn(OTf)2 electrolyte. The coordinated chemical adsorption induced by AZ molecules inhibits the hydrogen precipitation, facilitates homogeneous zinc deposition, effectively suppresses dendrite growth, thus resulting in exceptional stability of Zn anode.
