Intrinsic stimuli-responsive main-chain supramolecular polymers driven by dative B ← N bonds

Abstract

Novel main-chain supramolecular polymers (MCSPs) with intrinsic stimuli-responsiveness were developed using dative B ← N bonds. By separately fluoridating/defluoridating boron and protonating/deprotonating nitrogen, the resultant MCSPs show reversible intrinsic response.
