Photoinduced electron transfer from the naphthalene diimide anion radical doublet excited state

Abstract

The dynamics of bimolecular photoinduced electron transfer from the doublet excited state of the anion radical of N,N′-dioctylnaphthalene diimide (NDI) have been investigated using picosecond transient absorption and fluorescence lifetime decay analysis. Stern–Volmer quenching studies afford the bimolecular quenching rate constants (kq) for 18 acceptors.
