Circulating tumour DNA methylation: unlocking a new chapter in cancer diagnosis and treatment

Abstract

Circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) methylation analysis, as a non-invasive liquid biopsy technique, has shown great potential in cancer diagnosis and treatment. This article provides an overview of research advances in ctDNA methylation testing as well as a summary of the advantages and potential of ctDNA methylation analysis, and argues that it promises to be the key to unlocking a new chapter in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
