Construction of a colorimetric glyphosate detection platform based on peroxidase-like activity of MOF-818(Cu)†
Abstract
To develop a simple, rapid, and low-cost detection method for the field detection of glyphosate, we developed a “signal-off” detection system for glyphosate residues, using the peroxidase (POD)-like activity of a metal–organic framework (MOF-818) and catalytic inhibition induced by glyphosate. Experimental results demonstrated this detection platform exhibited a linear range from 2 μM to 100 μM (R2 = 0.99) with a low detection limit (LOD) of 1 μM. And it showed excellent anti-interference performance even in the complex interfering ions. In addition, the relative standard deviations (RSD) of three environmental water samples with varying pollution levels were all below 9%, demonstrating the method reliability in practical applications.
