Synthesis and optical wireless communication application of high efficiency extreme blue CsPbBr3 nanoplates†
Abstract
CsPbBr3 nanoplates with excellent optical properties are emerging as a kind of novel functional material and are applied in many fields. In this work, we synthesize high-efficiency CsPbBr3 nanoplates with extreme blue emission and near 100% photoluminescence quantum yield. The unique optical properties and stable structure result from the sufficient surface passivation due to the addition of ZnBr2, which endows it with great prospects in the field of blue light optical wireless communication. CsPbBr3 nanoplates show 32 MHz bandwidth with no dependence on excitation power, excitation light incidence angle and solution concentration. Furthermore, the optical wireless communication system is built based on CsPbBr3 nanoplates and up to 150 Mbps signal transmission rate is achieved, which demonstrates its bright application potential.
