System for water evaporation generate electricity and simultaneous water desalination :A Review

Abstract

In recent years, people are committed to obtaining clean water and electric energy through solar interface evaporation, a common phenomenon in nature. The method of collecting clean water by steam condensation is mature, but the mechanism of water evaporation-induced power generation still needs to be further supplemented and improved.Therefore, this review summarized some previous working principles of water evaporation-induced power generation and solar interfacial evaporation, and put forward a possible relationship between ionic liquid and pore size of materials, which may have an impact on the behavior of solar interfacial evaporation desalination while improving power generation.At present, there are many kinds of devices that generate clean water and electricity by solar interface evaporation. This review classify and summarize the devices from the perspectives of materials, working modules and overall systems, and analyze their respective characteristics and existing shortcomings, and evaluate the quality of products. It is pointed out that these devices have advantages in moving power and water sources, environmental monitoring and obtaining more abundant products.Finally, the problems that need to be solved in actual production are put forward, some methods to solve these problems are summarized, and some future development directions are put forward.
