Cobalt-catalysed Csp3–Csp3 cross-coupling of benzyl Katritzky pyridinium salts with Callyl–O electrophiles

Abstract

Herein we report a Co-catalysed reductive cross-coupling to form Csp3–Csp3 bonds from two non-halogenated electrophiles, such as C–N and C–O bonds. This method provided different allylbenzyl derivatives in moderate to good yields under mild conditions from various functionalised benzyl Katritzky pyridinium salts and various allylic acetates, ethers or carbonates.
