A superamphiphobic surface with ordered hexagonal microstructures inspired by springtails†
Abstract
Mimicking the surface of the shell of springtails, a superamphiphobic surface with a micro/nano composite layer structure was successfully prepared using laser-etched hexagonal patterns on an aluminum plate, treated with a boiling water bath, and then sprayed with a fluorosilane solution, which showed high repulsion to different low-surface-tension liquids.
