Integration of surface polymerization and self-assembly strategies for heterogenization of copper-based catalysts for water oxidation

Abstract

Herein, we applied chemical reactions of dianhydride and polyamine coupling to integrate pre-assembled copper molecular catalysts [Cu(pimR)(OH2)2]2+ onto the surface of electrodes. The encapsulated electrodes increased the turnover frequency eight times and improved sustainable efficiency and stability in a pH 12 buffer.
