Luminescence and magnetic properties of mononuclear Ln(iii) complexes using an N1-substituted 1,2,3-triazole ligand†
Abstract
Three lanthanide complexes [LnL2(NO3)3]·2CH3CN (Ln = Dy (1), Tb (2), Eu (3), L = 2,2′-(1H-1,2,3-triazole-1,4-diyl)dipyridine) have been synthesized using an uncommon luminescent N1-substituted 1,2,3-triazole as a ligand. Compounds 1–3 demonstrate characteristic transitions corresponding to lanthanide ion emissions, all showing stronger fluorescence intensity. Furthermore, compound 1 containing anisotropic Dy(III) ions exhibits slow relaxation of magnetization at low temperature, indicating that this compound is a luminescent single-molecule magnet.
