Palladium catalyzed tandem cyclization of acryloylbenzamides and N-arylacrylamides with epoxides: access to functionalized isoquinolinediones and oxindoles

Abstract

Herein, a practical and efficient tandem cyclization ring-opening coupling of acryloylbenzamides and N-arylacrylamides with epoxides is reported. Various acryloylbenzamides and N-arylacrylamides containing a wide range of functional groups coupled with both acyclic and cyclic epoxides to efficiently synthesize valuable hydroxyalkylated isoquinolinediones and oxindoles. These fragments are significant in organic chemistry and pharmaceutical science.
