An environmentally friendly AIE probe for CMC determination

Abstract

We introduce a sensitive AIE probe named EDS by incorporating a sulfonate group (–SO3) into the QM moiety for critical micelle concentration (CMC) determination. Due to its good solubility in water, the CMC value test can be carried out in an environmentally friendly water system, thus avoiding the use of toxic organic solvents or other corrosive acid reagents.
