Syntheses of new zeolitic imidazolate frameworks in dimethyl sulfoxide

Abstract

Presented here are the syntheses of ZIFs in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). A series of new ZIFs with various topologies such as ACO, coi, zni, ANA, GIS, and even a new topology can be obtained in DMSO, suggesting that DMSO is a powerful medium for the syntheses of ZIFs.
