Surface characteristics of adsorbents based on aluminum oxide by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and pH-measurement

Abstract

Alumina samples, containing potassium and sodium cations, have been studied by the pH-measurement and XPS methods. It has been shown that the pH of the isoionic state of the analyzed samples increases along with a decrease in the sum of the chemical shifts of the XPS of the metal and oxygen.
