Abstract

We report an efficient synthetic method for 1,1′,3,3′-tetrasubstituted-4,4′-bibenzo[c]thiophene derivatives with different substituents on the thiophene rings and their photophysical properties in the solution and the solid state, electrochemical properties and X-ray crystal structures.
