Chromogenic covalent organic polymer-based microspheres as solid-state gas sensor

Abstract

A new imine-linked covalent organic polymer-based microsphere was achieved by condensation of triazine-cored precursors under solvothermal conditions. This COP attains spherical morphology and promising solid-state properties along with reversible chromogenic response towards sensitive detection of noxious HCl gas. The as-synthesized microspheres can serve as first morphology based chromogenic solid-state gas sensor.
