Solution-precipitation synthesis of perovskite polyhedron and its lasing applications

Abstract

Herein, we report a two-step solution-precipitation approach to synthesize perovskite CH3NH3PbBr3 polyhedral single crystals. Their formation mechanism was investigated, revealing the close relationship between reaction rate and crystallization of perovskite. Furthermore, such perovskite polyhedrons were demonstrated to be feasible for lasing with a high quality factor and for single-mode operation.
