One-step synthesis of ZnS@MoS2 core–shell nanostructure for high efficiency photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline
Abstract
Three kinds of ZnS@MoS2 nanocomposite photocatalysts were successfully prepared via one-step hydrothermal method. The photocatalytic performance of the prepared samples can be significantly affected by means of the content and preparation process of MoS2. The ZnS@MoS2 composite (3 : 1) exhibited the best photocatalytic activity for degradation of tetracycline. Under ultraviolet irradiation, tetracycline is completely degraded after 60 min reaction. After 5 repeated cycles, the degradation rate of tetracycline decreased slightly (1.5%), indicating that ZnS@MoS2 (3 : 1) exhibits a high photocatalytic efficiency and stable photocatalytic performance in the degradation of tetracycline, showing broad prospects for industrial applications.
