Current Status and Prospects of Memristor Based on Novel 2D Materials

Abstract

As a promising non-volatile memory device, memristor has received extensive attention since the memristor can effectively mimic synapse and enable neuromorphic systems. In recent years, 2D materials have been widely used in memristors because of their unique advantages, which not only improve the performance of memristors, but also promote the development of memristors in flexible electronics, low power, high temperature devices, neuromorphic computing and so on. Here, we summarize the applications of 2D materials in memristors and their physical switching mechanism. The challenges are discussed and corresponding strategies are prospected.
