A facile, environmentally friendly synthesis of strong photo-emissive methylammonium lead bromide perovskite nanocrystals enabled by ionic liquids

Abstract

Herein we demonstrate a new method for the synthesis of methylammonium lead bromide perovskite nanocrystals (MAPbBr3) by using environmentally friendly ionic liquids. The effects of different carboxylate anions in ionic liquids on crystal growth and the properties of MAPbBr3 were investigated. This work paves a new avenue for the sustainable synthesis of perovskite materials by using ionic liquid based green solvents.
