Variability of structural motifs in the crystal structure of U(VI) complexes with p-methoxybenzoic acid
New complexes of U(VI) with p-methoxybenzoic acid were synthesized and their crystal structure was determined. Three uranyl-based structural units were found, simple 1:3 complex anion, dimeric two-nuclear complex, and infinite coordination polymer. Two of the obtained compounds contains by two different structural units simultaneously. One of the compounds exhibits unprecedented for uranyl compounds structure based on 0D and 1D structural units. Electron and IR spectra of the compounds correlate with the crystal structure of the obtained complexes.
