Amorphous/Low-Crystalline Core/Shell Type Nanoparticles as a Highly Efficient and Self-Stabilizing Catalyst for Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution

Abstract

Amorphous/low-crystalline core/shell type nanoparticles (Pd-P/Pt-Ni NPs) are prepared by a facile seed-mediated method. After acid treatment, the NPs exhibits a self-improved catalysis for hydrogen evolution during the electrolysis in alkaline medium.
