Ir(III)-Catalyzed Direct C−H Functionalization of N-phenylacetamide with α-Diazo Quinones: A Novel Strategy to 2-hydroxy-2′-amino-1,2′-biaryl Scaffolds

Abstract

α-Diazo quinones are efficiently applied to Ir(III)-catalyzed direct C−H functionalization of N-phenylacetamide to generate highly functionalized 2-hydroxy-2′-amino-1,1′-biaryl scaffolds (HABAs). This strategy offers an operationally simple, atom- and step-economic approach for the synthesis of 2-hydroxy-2′-amino-1,1′-biaryl scaffoldsand unprecedently, this protocol disclosed the systhesis of this biaryl scaffolds via Ir-catalyzed C-H direct arylation.
