Highly Luminescent and Ultrastability Cesium Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals glass for Plant-growth Lighting Engineering

Abstract

To find a fluorescent material suitable for plant growth as a device, CsPbX3 nanocrystals glasses were taken into consideration, which is very important in the field of plant lighting. Herein, a series of CsPbClxBr3-x (x= 0, 1, 1.5, 2 and 3) nanocrystals glass with tunable emission (420 - 523 nm) have been successfully prepared by the the melt-quenching and heat treatment route. The device is fabricated using violet chip, CsPbCl2Br1 and CsPbBr1I2. Besides, a series of stability tests show that perovskite glass has good stability compared to perovskite solution. Importantly, the electroluminescence spectra of the device are mainly in the blue light (460 nm) and the red light (620 nm), which corresponds to the wavelength of light required for plant growth. Meanwhile, the plant lighting test showed that the device promoted plant growth. Therefore, CsPbX3 NCs glasses can be used as a new generation of solid fluorescent materials in the field of plant lighting engineering.
