Triphenylpyrazine: A new AIE building block of deep-blue emitters via methyl substitute

Abstract

Based on deep comprehension for unique excited state decay process of tetraphenylpyrazine derivatives, TrPP-3C was designed by repalcing phenyl group with methyl group at 3 position of pyrazine. Comparing to its modle compound TPP-3C, the CIE coordinates of TrPP-3C have shifted to more valuable deep-blue region in non-doped OLED, demonstrating that the in-depth study of excited state distribution was of great significance for the development of new AIE building block.
