Access to chiral cyano-containing five-membered rings through enantioconvergent rhodium-catalyzed cascade cyclization of a diastereoisomeric E/Z mixture of 1,6-enynes

Abstract

In contrast to the intermolecular rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric 1,4-addition of organometallic reagents to activated alkenes, the asymmetric arylative cyclization of diastereoisomeric E/Z mixture of 1,6-enynes afforded only one major enantiomer.
