Synthesis and electrochromic properties of a graphene oxide/silicon dioxide/oligoaniline interpenetrating network composite

Abstract

Substantial progress has been made in high-performance electrochromic devices. However, there are limited reports on the enhancement of electrochromic stability, which is an important parameter for practical applications. Herein, we report the design and synthesis of two hydrolysable siloxane precursors bearing oligoaniline and graphene oxides, followed by a crosslinking reaction during cyclic voltammetry, yielding an interpenetrating network composite film. Benefiting from the porous structure, the resulting network composite film exhibits good electrochromic performance with good stability. The combination of such good electrochemical activity and interpenetrating network architecture makes this a promising material for high-performance electrochromic devices.
