Synthesis and properties of Au–Ag bimetallic nanoclusters with dual-wavelength emission

Abstract

Au–Ag bimetallic nanoclusters with dual-wavelength emission were facilely synthesized and the generation of dual-emission was probed. The photoluminescence (PL) characteristics were explained from the perspective of the surface structure by using the PL decay spectra. The aggregation-induced-emission mechanism was demonstrated and two possible luminescent structures were presented.
