Reveal of the chiral recognition for alanine and leucine in an L-phenylalanine-based metal-organic framework

Abstract

As a proof-of-concept, an L-phenylalanine-based metal-organic framework Zn-MOF with chiral microenvironment, namely [Zn(L-Phe)(bpe)]n, was designed for experimentally revealing the chiral recognition mechanism to alanine and leucine by means of 13C CP MAS NMR spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and control experiment.
