A paint layer for high-rate and high-capacity solid-state lithium-metal batteries

Abstract

A flake-graphite paint layer, an electron/ion due-conductive framework, was prepared by spraying method and an improved interface contact between lithium-metal anode and garnet electrolyte is demonstrated. Experiments show that an distinguished decrease interface resistance, from 3062 ohm cm2 to 40 ohm cm2 is obtained. Besides a long cycling life, the new interface also endure a tremendous Li volume change of 4.8 μm cm-2 in each stripping/plating step.
