Ag Nanoframes: Controllable Reducing of AgClxBr1-x Nanocubes

Abstract

Synthesis of Ag nanoframe is a great challenge due to the high reactivity of Ag. Here, we present a facile and simple method to synthesize Ag nanoframe using silver halide as the template. Method to fine-tune the reduction rate allows us to control the morpholgies, from Ag nanoframes to nanocages and hollow nanoshells. The Ag nanoframes exhibit excellent catalytic activity in methylene blue reduction.
