Tunable, self-healing and corrosion inhibiting dynamic epoxy–polyimine network built by post-crosslinking

Abstract

Dynamic epoxy–imine networks were constructed via a post-crosslinking method in which exchangeable linear polymers with reactive groups were synthesized first, followed by the introduction of permanent crosslinkers for post-crosslinks. The network polymers exhibit outstanding mechanical strength, good reprocessability, self-healing ability and a corrosion inhibiting feature, providing a new approach for dynamic covalent network design.
