Recent advancement and perspective of flexible hybrid perovskite solar cells

Abstract

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have attracted a great deal of attention due to their combined advantages of high efficiency and good flexibility. Here, we addressed the latest technology and future prospects of flexible hybrid PSCs. The fleixble PSCs are composed to flexible stubstrate, transparent electrode, electron (or hole) conductor, perovskite, hole (orelectron) conductor, and electrode layer. Among the layers, the flexible substrate and transparent electrode has critical bottle neck to achieve high efficiency and super flexibility because the flexible polymer substrates have lower transmittance than the rigid glass substrate due to higher refractive index and the transparent conducting oxde (TCO) is inherently brittle. Therefore, we mentioned the research background of flexible PSCs in introduction part and reviewed technological advancement of flexible PSCs in terms of flexible substrates and transparent electrodes in main text. In addition, we briefly discussed upscaling issues and material cost of flexible PSCs for their commecialization.
