A facile annealing strategy achieving in-situ controllable Cu2O nanoparticles decorated copper foil as current collector for stable lithium metal anode

Abstract

Lithiophilic Cu2O nanoparticles decorated copper foil synthesized by a facile air annealing approach is employed as the lithium plating substrate. The Cu2O layers can stabilize the lithium nucleation and alleviate the growth of lithium dendrites, thus enhance the lithium plating and stripping performance. This simple strategy is easily scalable to achieve low-cost lithium metal anode for commercial applications.
