Nucleophile-controlled mono- and bis-phosphonation of amino-2-en-1-ones via catalyst-free C(sp3)–N bond cleavage

Abstract

A catalyst-free mono- and bis-phosphonation of amino-2-en-1-ones via C(sp3)–N bond cleavage is described. This reaction proceeds through an interaction of substrates in the absence of any external catalyst or additive, and under air conditions. The selectivity of the mono-phosphonation and bis-phosphonation was controlled by the phosphorus nucleophiles with their nucleophilicities.
