A novel cobalt(0) alkyne complex assisted “capture and release” strategy for oligosaccharide rapid assembly

Abstract

A chromatographic purification free rapid oligosaccharide synthetic strategy was developed. The intermediates were conveniently purified by a new process based on a “capture–release” strategy on a resin that involved the Co2(CO)6-PPh2/alkyne complex and the oxidated de-complex reaction. This method avoids the redundant multi-step classical chromatographic purification protocol and has been proved to be efficient by the synthesis of linear and branched penta-mannosides.
