Immobilization of a porphyrinic Mn(iii) catalyst on a new type of silica support comprising a three-dimensionally interconnected network with two different sizes of pores

Abstract

A novel mesoporous silica material (pSBA-15), composed of two distinct size interconnected pores, was prepared via surfactant-assisted pseudomorphic transformation of SBA-15, and its potential application as a support for a heterogeneous catalyst based on the immobilization of Mn(III)–porphyrin was exploited.
