Molecularly endowed hydrogel within-silico-assisted screened peptide for high sensitive small molecules harvesting

Abstract

We present a novel method for the detection of small molecules in complex fluids based on the selection of specific peptide for target capture and its integration into an antifouling polymeric network. Such approach was assessed for AflatoxinM1 as target and harvested in polymeric hydrogel particles from milk matrices. This can represent a universal platform for the direct and ultra-sensitive detection of small molecules in complex media.
