Chiral nematic mesoporous magnetic ferrites

Abstract

Metal ferrites [MFe2O4 (M = Co, Ni, Cu)] with a chiral nematic nanostructure are prepared through hard templating in chiral nematic mesoporous silica. The materials are investigated by many techniques, including scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometry, indicating weak magnetic anisotropy.
